TV Shows

There were three references to the RRBs in other PPG episodes.  The first is in the opening sequence at the start of every show.  When the shot pans to Princess, you can see the RRBs in the background.  Here are two screenshots that show the boys in the villains' lineup:

The second was in "Town and Out."  It's a bit obscure, but if you look at the inside of the school bus above and to the left of Bubbles' head, you'll notice some graffiti that appears to be "Brick" written in red magic marker.  Here's a screenshot of the scene:

I magnified and highlighted the area to get a better look:

The resolution of the screenshot isn't the greatest.  Still, it's pretty clear that the word scrawled on the bus is "Brick."  We also get a quick glimpse of the first two letters during the PPG's conversation with the snotty girl sitting in front of them.  The letters shown are most definitely a 'B' and 'R'.  However, in a subsequent shot, the word looks more like "Brisk."  Take a look:

I'm no animation expert, but the background used in the previous scene is different from the one shown above.  I don't know why the two words are purposefully written different on the individual backgrounds.  I guess it's just a continuity error.

A less controversial reference occurred in the "Bought and Scold" episode.  Here the boys are trotted out as one of the villains mentioned in the narrator's opening monologue.  Here are the boys in all their glory:

In the "Divide and Conquer" episode, the RRBs are displayed prominently on wanted posters behind the Amoeba Boys.

Well, it finally happened.  Yep, the "Boys are Back in Town!"  Here's some screenshots:

Now that I see their new hairstyles more clearly, the wanted poster in "Divide and Conquer" seems to also show the updated hairstyle, too.

The boys made another appearance in "Boy Toys" as one, er, three of the featured villains.  A couple of screenshots follow:

Holy moley!  The boys make yet another appearance in season five!  This time they're teens in the flashback episode, "City of Clipsville."  Here are a bunch of screenshots:

This was without a doubt one of the best scenes, ever.

OMG!  The boys are back again in season five!  We now see them in the episode, "Bubble Boy."  As always, here are a bunch of screenshots:

This Japanese DVD for the PPG show has the new style RRBs on the cover.  However, the episode descriptions lead me to believe that this is not a season 5 DVD.
